United in the race for Chukwueze

Manchester United are said to have joined Liverpool in the transfer race for Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze as Solskjaer continues his search for an alternative for long-time target Jadon Sancho.

Premier League clubs including the likes of Chelsea, Leicester City and Wolves are understood to be keeping tabs on Chukwueze however both Liverpool and United are leading the race.

The Nigerian winger made his breakthrough with Villarreal senior team in 2018/19 season and has since become a regular for the season. Last season, he racked up a total of four goals and six assists in all

competitions and was highly appreciated for his performances.

Chukwueze has been cited as the alternative for Borussia Dortmund winger and United’s long-time target Sancho. The Red Devils failed to sign the English winger in the summer transfer window due to the German club’s high demands.

Pogba to return to action soon?

Manchester United are optimistic that Paul Pogba would return to action soon despite injury concerns. The French midfielder has been out of action for the last games due to ankle injury and many believed it aggravated the injury he picked up last season. However, The Red Devils believe that the 28-year-old could return to action sooner than expected, and could even be available in the selection list for the weekend game against Southampton. But United don’t want to hurry the Frenchman to be match fit.
