Manchester United update: Solskjaer on Lingard future, Shaw sees title chances, Van de Beek to get game-time

Ole Gunnar Solskjær-Manchester United

Solskjaer wants Lingard to return to best at West Ham.

Manchester United outcast Jesse Lingard is poised to join West Ham United in a loan move for the rest of the season and ahead of the transfer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wishes the English man to return to his old form in his loan stint.

“We want Jesse to come back here revitalised and having shown at West Ham how good a player he is, of course,”

He’s just been unfortunate with a couple of issues – some periods that he had to stay away from us with the Covid and isolation, with the close contact.

“I just want him to go there and enjoy himself, show how good a player he is and come back. He’s a Man United player through and through.”

Luke Shaw optimistic about United winning the title

Man Utd left-back Luke Shaw has offered his thoughts on the title-winning chances, stating that his side can have a crack at the Premier League after years.

United are currently flying high in the English top-flight, currently second behind leaders Manchester City.

“Of course the league is a target, with the position we’re in. The most important thing now is to bounce back after that poor result and show people we’re still in that fight.

“We’re second and we feel we’ve got the belief and confidence that, if we can get a good run going again, then we can be fighting for the title at the end of the season.”

Van de Beek to be soon offered chances

Donny van de Beek is having a disappointing debut campaign at Old Trafford since his highly-anticipated transfer from Ajax.

The Dutch midfielder has failed to etch his place in the starting line-up after being hardly used by Solskjaer.

Now with United awaiting congested fixtures next month, Van de Beek is expected to get more minutes.
