Premier League Transfer: Pogba set for bumper contract offer, Klopp on Keita’s future

Paul Pogba-Manchester United

Pogba will be handed £400,000 per week

Manchester United are prepared to offer Paul Pogba a lucrative contract ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League side can convince him to continue at the club beyond his summer.

Reports claim that the Premier League side are preparing to offer him a deal worth around £400,000 per week.

The Old Trafford hierarchy will begin negotiations with Pogba and his agent this month, but if the player decides to turn down their offer, they will not hesitate to sell him this summer.

Raiola: “Pogba to Real Madrid? It’s difficult [...]. But impossible is nothing. What if Real offer a Hazard-Pogba swap? It’s just an example. And if all parties like it, why not? Playing for Real was always very attractive for Pogba because of his idol Zidane too” #MUFC #Real

Klopp on Keita future

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the Reds are unlikely to cash in on Naby Keita this summer.

He said: “Naby trains really well at the moment, I have to say. He trains well, like a lot of other players, and looks good in training. But this year now we need stability. We will definitely make changes from time to time, but it’s not like we pick now seven, eight, nine players to change and say, ‘Maybe we can win it like this’. The long-term future of Naby Keita, from my point of view, is here, yes.”

The 26-year-old has had a torrid time at Anfield since joining the club in a £53 million move back in 2018.

His time at the Premier League club has been plagued with injuries, but it seems that Klopp is willing to give the midfielder another chance to prove himself at Liverpool.

It will be interesting to see if the midfielder can get over his injury issues and establish himself as a key player for the Reds next season.
