The Portuguese has proven himself in England, Spain and Italy and his winning experience and mentality would make a big difference to Solskjaer’s team.
The transfer is unlikely to be cheap because of Juventus’s demands and the player’s wages and therefore it will be interesting to see if Manchester United can pull it off.
