Tottenham begin talks to sign Argentine winger, Leeds keen as well

Tottenham borrow £175m to ease coronavirus impact

Premier League clubs Tottenham and Leeds United are interested in signing the Stuttgart winger Nicolas Gonzalez this month.

The Argentine was highly impressive for the German club last year and he managed to score 14 goals and pick up three assists. Gonzalez was instrumental in Stuttgart securing promotion to Bundesliga and he has managed to carry on that form in the German top flight this year.

Gonzalez has five goals and two assists to his name this season and he could prove to be a quality addition to the Tottenham attack.

Apparently, the London club have already begun talks regarding a potential transfer and Stuttgart are seeking a fee in the region of £27 million.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can fend off the competition from Leeds United and secure his services this month.

Both teams could use more depth and quality in their attack and Nicolas Gonzalez has the quality to adapt and make an impact in the Premier League.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

The 22-year-old can play as a wide forward and a striker as well and his versatility will be an added bonus for his suitors.

Tottenham have two excellent attacking options in Kane and Son. However, the likes of Bergwijn and Moura have failed to produce in the final third of the pitch this season. Gonzalez could be the ideal addition to the Spurs attack and he would complete their front three.
