Tottenham have had an impressive transfer window so far, and they have managed to sign four quality players in Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon.

According to reports, Jose Mourinho wants to sign two more players before the transfer window closes.

The Tottenham manager is looking to bring in a quality backup striker and a centre back. Last season the Londoners struggled to score goals when Harry Kane was injured, and his desire to sign a backup striker makes perfect sense.

Furthermore, Tottenham have lost Jan Vertonghen this summer, and the Belgian will need to be replaced. Therefore, signing a new centre back should be a priority for the Londoners as well.

It will be interesting to see if Mourinho can get both signings sorted in the coming weeks.

New signing Gareth Bale has already spoken to Jose Mourinho regarding the positions he will play this season.

The on-loan Real Madrid winger revealed that he could play on either flank or centrally and Jose Marino has a number of plans to utilise his skill set.

As per reports Mourinho plans to use the 31-year old on the flanks or as the number 10. Gareth Bale could play as a false nine as well if needed.

The Welshman certainly has the qualities to play a number of roles in the attack, and it will be exciting to see how Mourinho’s attack shapes up with him.

Finally, Mourinho seems quite impressed with Tanguy Nbombele this season, and the French midfielder has been working hard in training period he is looking fitter and sharper, and it was evident against Southampton. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to impress the manager an establish himself as a regular starter for Tottenham this season.
