Kane and Son set new record

Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a thumping 4-1 win against Crystal Palace on Sunday and it was another instance where the trio of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale looked unstoppable.

Most importantly, Kane and Son created a new record in the Premier League after combining for 14 goals this season, beating the previous record of 13 goals by Blackburn duo Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton in the 1994-95 season.

The dynamic duo of Spurs has been instrumental in a handful of wins in the Premier League this season, with Kane racking up a total of 16 goals and 13 assists so far whereas Son has 13 goals and 9 assists to his name.

Bale makes surprise admission after Palace heroics

It is safe to say that Gareth Bale has returned to his best form, especially after his match-winning double on Sunday against Palace.

The Welsh winger, who is on loan from Real Madrid, has racked up a total of six goals in the last six matches for Spurs.

However, Bale still feels that he needs to take care of his fitness and admitted that he isn’t young anymore.

“Time will tell, I’m not 21 anymore. I’m just going to keep working hard, take each game as it comes and we’ll go from there.

“Your body changes over time; you haven’t got that youthfulness where you can recover quickly where you can go and sprint for 90 minutes. You learn your body as you get older and that’s what I’m having to do.”
