Jose Mourinho is desperate to add a striker to the squad before the deadline day.

Tottenham look to have found their next striker target in Bournemouth ace Josh King.

According to reports, Tottenham are interested in signing Bournemouth striker Josh King as Jose Mourinho is looking keen on adding a striker to the ranks.

Mourinho is understood to be grown weary after the failed attempts to sign a back-up for Harry Kane.

Kane has been serving as the Spurs’ primary striker while the team has failed in their experiment with Lucas Moura, Heung-Min Son during Kane’s absence.

Spurs recently saw their target Alexander Sorloth move to RB Leipzig and not too long ago they missed out on Callum Wilson, who joined Newcastle United.

King, 27, has been serving the Cherries for around five years and he netted six goals last season, where Bournemouth relegated to the Championship.

The Norwegian was close to joining Manchester United last summer before they opted to sign Odion Ighalo instead. King is also a full Norwegian international since 2012, netting 17 goals in 48 caps.

Unlike the previous back-up strikers to Kane, King can be productive given his quality and the experience in the English top-flight.

Spurs have also been linked with Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, who is reportedly in the lookout for a new club. However, Spurs will face competition from Serie A outfit AS Roma.

Tottenham drew their game against Newcastle United after a controversial penalty awarded against them in the injury time.
