West Brom 0-4 Arsenal: Saka, Lacazette score as Arsenal picked away win

Bukayo Saka - With Arsenal deal pending, receives Liverpool interest

Arsenal picked up a 4-0 win over West Brom away from home in the Premier League tonight.

The Gunners have started the season in poor form and Arteta will be delighted with his team’s transformation in performance over the last few weeks.

The Gunners scored twice in each half to secure all three points tonight.

Arsenal made an impressive start to the match and took the lead through Kieran Tierney who fired in a splendid solo goal. The talented young left back cut inside from the wide area and found the top right corner.

West Brom had a chance to score the leveller on the 28th minute but Matt Phillips was denied by Bernd Leno.

Soon after the safe, Bukayo Saka made it 2-0 to Arsenal after Emile Smith-Rowe squared the ball for a tap in.

Striker Alexandre Lacazette added a brace in the second half. He pounced on a loose ball around the hour mark  and scored the third goal of the game and then completed his brace from Tierney’s cross.

Arsenal are now up to 11th in the Premier League table with 23 points and West Brom remained 19th with just eight points from 17 matches.

The Gunners had gained a lot of confidence from their win over Chelsea and Brighton and tonight’s result will boost their morale further.

It will be interesting to see if they can build on this form and get back into the top four race over the next few months.
