West Ham eyeing up a summer move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah

Eddie Nketiah-Arsenal

West Ham United are thought to be interested in signing the Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

The youngster has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth for the Gunners, and he needs to leave in order to play more often.

A move to West Ham could be ideal for his career next season. The Hammers could use a quality striker, and Nketiah has the potential to develop into a reliable goal scorer.

Michail Antonio has been the first choice striker at West Ham this past season, but he’s not a natural goal scorer, and David Moyes could use a number nine like Nketiah.

The youngster was on loan at Leeds United during the 2019-20 season, and he was quite impressive for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

He has the potential to lead the line for a Premier League club, and he needs to join a club where he will get consistent opportunities.

Arsenal are unlikely to be able to provide him with the platform, especially with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at their disposal.

It would be wise of the Gunners to cash in on the youngster and invest in players who can strengthen their starting lineup.

It will be interesting to see if West Ham can agree or a fee with their London rivals for the talented young forward in the coming weeks now.

The Hammers will be playing Europa League football next season, and they will need more quality and depth in their side.

They have been linked with the likes of Tammy Abraham as well, and it will be interesting to see who they end up signing eventually.
