Real Madrid enter transfer race for Salzburg prospect Dominik Szoboszlai

Liverpool and Arsenal keen to sign RB Salzburg's Dominik Szoboszlai

The Hungarian prospect has been said to be watched by Arsenal and AC Milan.

Real Madrid are interested in highly rated Salzburg youngster Dominik Szoboszlai.

According to reports, Los Blancos have entered the transfer race for Szoboszlai alongside both Arsenal and AC Milan.

The Hungarian prospect has been impressive of late, helping his country reach the Euro 2020 after scoring the winner in the Qualifiers game against Iceland.

The 20-year-old had his breakthrough with Salzburg in 19/20 season, where he scored nine goals and 14 assists in Austrian Bundesliga. This season has seen him already rack up six assists while scoring against the likes of Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Madrid’s interest in Szoboszlai shows their direction toward signing young talents in recent times.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side could prove to be a tough competition for Madrid as the Gunners have been linked with Szobszlai, who is rated around £23m for a while now.

The Hungarian youngster operates mainly in the hole, which leaves the question of whether he can be of utmost importance to a midfield three, preferred by Zinedine Zidane.

Players like Isco and James Rodriguez have already shown how their downfall turned out despite showing early promise.

Furthermore, Zidane is looking to incorporate Martin Odegaard to the first team following his successful loan spell at Real Sociedad.

Madrid haven’t signed any player in the summer transfer exchange and the wait could be over in the next summer window, where players like Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland are the ideal targets.
