Reasons – Why Jadon Sancho left Manchester City

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jadon Sancho preferring Liverpool over United

Jadon Sancho parted ways with Manchester City in 2017 after spending two years in youth ranks. The English winger decided to join Borussia Dortmund and has now become one of the talented youngsters in Europe.

Furthermore, the 20-year-old is closing in on a return to the Premier League, but this time the destination appears to be Man City’s cross-town rivals Manchester United.

Sancho had once admitted that he never resented leaving the Sky Blues.

He said,

“When I left City, there were a lot of people that doubted me – they were like “oh you shouldn’t have left Pep Guardiola” – but I just thought that it was the best thing for me.”

Guardiola had also opened about Sancho’s transfer move to Dortmund, stating that the English youngster never intended to break into the main team at the Etihad.”

The former Barcelona manager said

“I don’t know. He didn’t want to take this challenge, this opportunity to discover if he was able to.

“He decided to go there. So, it’s perfect. It’s going well and congratulations on what he is doing.”

Sancho has reportedly set his sights on joining the Red Devils, with recent reports claiming that announcement could happen this week.

Man Utd are reportedly set to pay a whopping 120 million euros to sign Sancho in instalments.
