Roy Keane makes scathing attack on Manchester United squad

Ole Gunnar Solskjær-Manchester United

The former skipper has issued a warning to Solskjaer following the debacle against Spurs.

Roy Keane has hit out at the current Manchester United squad for their terrible performance against Spurs.

Man Utd suffered a humiliating defeat against Spurs at Old Trafford, which saw them come under fire.

Former United player Keane has now taken a dig at the underperforming squad, stating that the players would cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his managerial job.

Keane said,

“The performance against Spurs was disgraceful. We’ve all had bad days in football, but it was disgracefully bad, some of the players’ performances,”.

“Too many bluffers and they will cost Ole his job. The players he’s got there, they threw the previous manager under the bus, they’ll do the same to Ole.”

Earlier, Solskjaer also resented the defeat while taking the entire responsibility for the disastrous performance.

“I hold my hand up, it is my fault. It’s very embarrassing, it hurts all the players, it hurts me as the manager. It’s my worst day ever.”

However, the Norwegian manager insisted that his players need to look themselves into the mirror and bounce back sooner.

United’s start to the Premier League this season has been uncharacteristic after their defeats in the first two games at home – the last time it happened was 34 years ago.

Man Utd still managed to get the best out of the transfer window, adding a handful of signings on the deadline day. Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles were among them, with the former one getting signed as a free agent.

Although the signings are as pleasing as it may look, United have failed to add a centre-back and a right-winger to the ranks.
