Christian Eriksen’s journey from Tottenham to Inter in search of trophies has been vindicated

Christian Eriksen-Inter Milan

Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen recently helped his side win the Scudetto, and the Danish international has come a long way from his days at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder came close to winning silverware with the Premier League side as well, but he had to face disappointment in the end quite often at the London club.

A year ago, the midfielder announced that he wants to leave Tottenham in search of trophies, and his journey landed him at Inter Milan.

Since then, it has not been a comfortable spell for the Danish midfielder. He struggled to hold down a regular starting berth under Antonio Conte, and there have been rumours of a potential exit from Serie A club.

Eriksen himself admitted at one point that the lack of playing time at the Italian club is annoying.

However, the player kept working hard in training, and he was eventually rewarded with opportunities.

It seems that the Danish international has now grabbed his opportunity with both hands, and he has managed to impress Conte with his attitude and performance.

He has scored some crucial goals for Inter Milan recently, and the player seems quite happy with this situation at the Italian club now.

His decision to leave Tottenham for trophies has undoubtedly been vindicated, and it will be interesting to see if others try and follow suit this summer.

Previously the likes of Kyle Walker have been quite successful since leaving the London club, and Harry Kane could be the next player out of the door.

Christian Eriksen spent 7 years at Spurs without winning a trophy. Yesterday, he scored the goal that won Inter Milan the Scudetto. Sometimes, all you need is one move.
Son Heung-Min on Christian Eriksen: “I miss Christian a lot because he is a great player. I could watch him play all day long. “Danes should be very proud of him. I'm jealous because I wish he was South Korean so I could play with him on the national team."
Conte really used to bench eriksen for Vidal. So happy he change that. Ever since eriksen been playing our season turned around completely
