The Swedish striker has continued his excellent form in the win against ten-man Napoli.

Milan have emerged victorious in the weekend’s crunch clash against Napoli as Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a brace.

The Swede provided the breakthrough for Milan in the 20th minute, scoring a brilliant header from an equally brilliant cross of Theo Hernandez.

Napoli pushed for the leveller soon when Dries Mertens forced a save from Gianluigi Donnarumma.

However, Milan established the two-goal cushion after Ibrahimovic completed his double inside the first ten minutes of the second half, this time Ante Rebic provided the assist as similar as Hernandez.

The 39-year-old nearly scored his hat trick but his goal was ruled out as offside.

Napoli soon pulled back one with the help of Mertens however minutes later, Bakayoko saw a red card.

The Partenopei’s hopes of a come back was completely crushed when Jens Petter Hauge scored his maiden goal in the stoppage time.

With the win, Milan have now extended their unbeaten in Serie A this season past eight games. After not winning in the last two games – including the 3-0 defeat against Lille in Europa League prior to the international break, Rossoneri have responded with an emphatic win.

Ibrahimovic continues to steal the headlines as his rich vein of form has helped Milan picking up another crucial win. The Swede also tops the scoring charts in Serie A with 10 goals at the moment.

Stefano Pioli will also take the credit for leading Milan to the top of the table as the Italian manager is currently enjoying the best spell in his managerial career yet.

Milan will next travel to France for the Europa League clash against Lille and they will look to settle the scores this time around.
