Italian outfit Inter Milan are looking to reduce their wage bill at the end of the season and they will look to move on some of their experienced players in order to do so.

According to reports, the Italian giants are looking to get rid of the likes of Ashley Young, Andrea Ranocchia, Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez.

Former Manchester United player Ashley Young is 36 in July and he is no longer the player he used to be. It is no surprise that Inter Milan are looking to move him on. They will have to bring in quality younger replacements if they want to progress as a team.

Former captain Andrea Ranocchia has been a backup player for years now and he is no longer a key member of the side. Inter will need to bring in an upgrade for him as well.

Meanwhile, Arturo Vidal has failed to put up consistent performances since joining the Italian club in the summer and it will be interesting to see if the Chilean is on the chopping block this summer.

Finally, Alexis Sanchez is another potential name on the list of departures.

The Chilean attacker has not been at his best since leaving Arsenal in 2018 and Inter Milan are better off investing in another attacker.

All four players are in the twilight of their careers and they are on high wages. It will be interesting to see if Inter Milan can get their wages off the books this summer.

Thauvin heading to Milan?

Meanwhile, AC Milan are closing in on a replacement for Samu Castillejo.

The attacker is expected to move to Spain at the end of the season and the Italian outfit are hoping to bring in Florian Thauvin as his replacement.

The former Newcastle winger has done well in France and he could prove to be a quality addition to the AC Milan attack.

Apparently the Italian outfit have offered the Frenchman a four-year contract and the transfer is expected to be completed soon.

Thauvin is not keen on staying at Marseille beyond this season and the other offers on his table do not interest the player.

Therefore it seems that the Frenchman is leaning towards a move to AC Milan.
