Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid this summer.

Both players are expected to be announced in the coming days.

Gareth Bale will sign a one-year loan deal with his former club and the Londoners have agreed to sign the 23-year-old left-back Sergio Reguilon on a permanent basis.

According to reports, the Real Madrid winger is flying to London tomorrow to complete his medical and finalise the transfer.

The 31-year-old had fallen out of favour at Real Madrid and Tottenham will allow him to regain his form with regular first-team football.

Reguilon was on loan at Sevilla last season and move to Spurs would allow him to play more often as well.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are now preparing for the Europa League playoff.

The London club will travel to Bulgaria to take on Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

The likes of Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld have been left out of the squad and it will be interesting to see how Tottenham perform in a tricky away game.

The Premier League club will be expected to make it to the group stages of the Europa League and failing to do so could prove to be catastrophic for them.

Jose Mourinho will be reasonably pleased with Tottenham’s transfer activity so far and it will be interesting to see if he can get the best out of his new signings this season.
