Ajax

Ajax will look to stretch their impressive winning streak in the Champions League when they host Sporting CP on the final matchday.

The Dutch giants thrashed Sporting CP in the reverse fixture and will look to do the same on Tuesday night. Sebastien Haller, who is now leading the UCL scoring charts, scored four goals in that game.

The Eredivisie leaders are also coming on the back of a 5-0 win against Willem 2, in which Brazilian prodigy Antony scored a sensational brace.

Erik ten Hag’s side are turning out to be one of the strongest teams this season and they have the potential to replicate the fairy tale run they enjoyed in 2018/19.

Sporting

Sporting Lisbon will look to settle the scores after suffering a heavy defeat in the hands of Ajax in the reverse fixture.

The Portuguese side beat Dortmund 3-1 on matchday 4, which ended the knockout hopes of the German giants.

Sporting have been flawless in the Primeira Liga this season, as they sit second in the table with no defeats.

Furthermore, they are coming on the back of an emphatic 3-1 win over Jorge Jesus’ Benfica side.

Pablo Sarabia, who is on loan from PSG, seems to have revived his career at Sporting, having racked up four goals and two assists so far. Even if they manage to stun Ajax, Sporting will still be second in Group C.
