Bayern 8-2 Barcelona Bayern, Coutinho humiliated Barcelona

Bayern Munich picked up a 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League earlier today at RZD arena.

The German champions won their opening game of the group stage 4-0 against Atletico Madrid and they were full of confidence heading into today’s game.

Bayern were firm favourites and it is no surprise they have come away with all three points from the game.

Leon Goretzka scored the opening goal of the game for Bayern Munich on the 13th minute and the home side came back into the contest with a goal from Anton Miranchuk on the 70th minute.

Joshua Kimmich scored the winning goal for the German side on the 79th minute.

Bayern Munich were completely dominant throughout the game but the home side have a lot to be positive about.

Lokomotiv Moscow had 6 shots on target compared to Bayern Munich’s 4 and they will be feeling that they could have snatched a point away from the German outfit on another day.

Hansi Flick will be reasonably pleased with his team’s performance but the German side are capable of doing better and they will be hoping to improve in the coming weeks.

Bayern Munich won the Champions League last season and they will be one of the favourites to defend their European Crown this year.

It will be interesting to see if the German champions can build on their impressive start to the Champions League and put together a winning run.

They will be hoping to qualify for the knockout stages as soon as possible so that they can rest some of their key players during a hectic schedule.

As for Lokomotiv Moscow, if they continue to perform at this level against the other teams in the group they should be able to get a few wins under their belt.
