Marcus Rashford bags a hattrick as Man United demolish RB Leipzig 5-0

Man United vs Norwich - Marcus Rashford scored braces

Manchester United picked up a stunning 5-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League earlier today.

Mason Greenwood scored the opening goal of the game for the Red Devils on the 21st minute.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to bring on Marcus Rashford around the hour mark and the Manchester United striker delivered in emphatic fashion.

The 22 year old double Manchester United’s advantage on the 74th minute and then scored his brace four minutes later.

Anthony Martial’s penalty on the 87th minute made it 4-0 to Manchester United and Marcus Rashford wrapped up the scoring and completed his hat trick in added time.

Solskjaer will be delighted with his team’s performance tonight. Many would have expected RB Leipzig to give the Premier League side a run for their money but the Germans were completely outplayed and they were chasing shadows throughout the game.

Manchester United have now won both of their group games in the Champions League and they will be hoping to secure qualification to the knockout rounds with a couple of wins in the coming months.

The Premier League side have now beaten two of the strongest opponents from their group and they will be confident of qualifying for the knockout rounds with ease. The win over PSG last week will have given them immense confidence and tonight’s performance will only add to that momentum.

It will be interesting to see how RB Leipzig bounce back from this and they will have to perform a lot better in the coming weeks if they want to secure their place in the knockout prompts of the competition.
