PSG 1-0 Leipzig: Neymar keeps PSG in UCL race

PSG edge past RB Leipzig in a close encounter

French outfit Paris Saint-Germain picked up a narrow 1-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League earlier tonight.

Brazilian superstar Neymar scored a penalty on the 11th minute to give the French outfit a well deserved lead and  PSG managed to hold on to their advantage for the rest of the game.

Leipzig did well to put pressure on the French outfit after going down to Neymar’s penalty but they missed some quality chances to equalise and perhaps win the game.

The win takes PSG up to second in the Group H standings and they have six points from four matches now.

Meanwhile the German side have the same number of points but they are third on goal difference.

It will be interesting to see if Leipzig can bounce back strongly and secure their place in the knockout rounds of the competition by winning their remaining matches.

Despite the win tonight, Paris Saint-Germain will be disappointed with their performance and they will know that they have to improve a lot if they want to go deep into the competition this year.

They had a better team on the night and they should have won the game comfortably.

RB Leipzig will have to work harder in attack if they want to get to the knockout rounds of the competition. They have struggled to finish their chances ever since Timo Werner left the club for Chelsea earlier in the summer.

It will be interesting to see if they can bring in a quality striker during the January transfer window who can transform their attack this season.
