The Swede was on target in the AC Milan’s 3-0 win against Cagliari.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has created a unique record following the win against Cagliari in the final matchday of Serie A.

The Swede scored a stunning goal in the 55th minute, helping the Rossoneri to a 3-0 win. The goal also marked his tenth of the season.

With that goal, the 38-year-old has now become the oldest ever player to score 10 or more goals in a Serie A season, with the Italian legend Silvio Piola being the first one to do so around 60 years ago.

Ibrahimovic also reached another peculiar feat last week by becoming the first player to score 50 goals each for both the Milan clubs.

The former Barcelona man has enjoyed a brilliant season on his return to the Italian top flight, eventually helping Rossoneri to secure a spot in the Europa League.’

Ibrahimovic’s future at San Siro is uncertain as his contract ends at the end of the season.

However, AC Milan Sporting Director, Paolo Maldini has recently stated his desire to keep the Swede beyond this season.

Rossoneri have been unstoppable after Pandemic break, not losing a game in more than 10 games. This impressive stretch also helped the head coach Stefano Pioli to extend his stay at San Siro for two more seasons.

Pioli’s renewal has also put an end to the speculations of Ralf Rangick’s arrival this summer.
