Portugal came from behind to secure a 3-2 win over Croatia in a UEFA Nations League game earlier tonight in UEFA Nations League.

Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic gave the home side their lead on the 29th minute and Portugal came back into the game through the Manchester City defender Ruben Dias who scored on the 52nd minute.

Marko Rog was sent off for Croatia after picking up a second yellow card, just a minute before Portugal found their equaliser.

The away side did well to capitalise on their advantage and they scored against a 10-man Croatia side eight minutes later through Joao Felix.

Croatia did well to come back into the game once again through the Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who scored his brace around the 65th minute. However, Portugal managed to sneak in the winner when Manchester City defender Ruben Dias scored his second of the game on the 90th minute.

Tonight’s win leaves Portugal second in their group with thirteen points from six matches and Croatia have picked up just three points from their six matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be disappointed to have failed to get on the scoresheet tonight and he will be heading into the next year with the hope of scoring seven more international goals that will see him beat Ali Daei’s all time record.

The Portuguese fans can be reasonably pleased with their team’s performance tonight and despite some of their key players failing to fire, they managed to get the job done against a top international team in Croatia.
