Jamshedpur 1-2 Goa: Igor Angulo inspires late FC Goa win

Igor Angulo- FC Goa

FC Goa picked up a 2-1 win over Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League earlier today.

Jamshedpur FC took the lead 33 minutes into the game through Eze but they failed to capitalize on their early dominance and increase their advantage.

Stephen Eze stretched at the far post to guide Aitor Monroy’s long ball into the Goa net to give his side the lead.

FC Goa got back into the game in the second half through Igor Angulo. Angulo scored a penalty to bring his side level on the 65th minute.

James Donachie was brought down in the box by Alexandre Lima and Angulo converted from the spot.

The Goa forward was excellent throughout the game and he managed to deliver a hammer blow to Jamshedpur’s hopes of getting something out of the game with a goal on the 95th minute from a corner.

Angulo and Ortiz had chances to increase Goa’s advantage but they were denied by some inspired goalkeeping from Nawaz.

Jamshedpur FC had a chance late on in the game but Alexandre Lima hit the post after being sent through by Valskis.

The win tonight takes Goa upto 5th in the Indian Super League table, one place above Jamshedpur FC.
