East Bengal’s continue miserable run of form with a defeat against NorthEast United

East Bengal crashed to a 2-0 defeat against NorthEast United in the Indian Super League earlier today. 

An own goal in the first half from Surchandra Singh allowed NorthEast united to take the lead.

Rochharzela scored the second goal of the game to wrap up the three points for NorthEast United in the Indian Super League earlier today.

East Bengal are now at the bottom of the points table and they will be thoroughly disappointed with their start to the English Super League this year.

Robbie Fowler is under immense pressure after his team’s poor start to the League and it will be interesting to see if the former Liverpool striker can turn it around in the coming weeks.

East Bengal had two legitimate penalties ruled out and they could have easily picked up a point here.

NorthEast united managed to pick up a win here but they will know that they need to improve a lot in order to win the Indian Super League this year.

Despite picking up the three points they were far from putting on a convincing performance.

In terms of performance, East Bengal did well in the second half but there is no doubt that North East United were the better team overall.

East Bengal are one of the best clubs in Indian football with a rich history and they will be expected to perform better.  It will be interesting to see if the players can step up and deliver for the fans.

East Bengal have made a miserable start to the Indian Super League and they are yet to pick up a win. They have failed to score a single goal as well and it remains to be seen how they perform in the coming weeks.
