Bengaluru FC picked up a 2-1 win over Odisha FC in the Indian Super League earlier today.

Bengaluru are now unbeaten in six matches and they are up to third in the standings after tonight’s win.

Meanwhile,  Odisha  are still winless in the Indian Super League and they have dropped down to 10th in the standings after their 5th defeat this season.

Sunil Chhetri gave Bangalore their lead on the 38th minute with a bullet header from Harmanjot Khabra’s centre from right flank.

Odisha came back into the game on the 72nd minute when captain Steven Taylor nodded the ball into the far corner on the slide.

Bengaluru did exceedingly well to get back in front seven minutes later when Cleiton Silva smashed it past Arshdeep from close range.

Bengaluru will be delighted with their performance here and they will be hoping to build on this and climb further up the table in the coming weeks.

It was a tough encounter for them but they have managed to grind out the win and it will give them immense confidence.

Meanwhile, Odisha will have to improve a lot in order to do well in the Indian Super League this season. They have made a very poor start and the fans will be expecting the players to take some responsibility and step up in the coming weeks.

Bengaluru were the favourites heading into this game and they will be relieved to have secured the three points.
